Installation Methods and Key Considerations for Stage Rental LED Displays

At large concerts, TV stations, product launches, and other live events, stage LED displays are widely used to enhance the on-site visual effect and atmosphere. Of course, installation methods for stage rental LED displays vary with different site environments. Stage rental LED displays are used only temporarily and are mostly assembled and combined on a temporary basis, so their LED cabinets are designed for easy installation and disassembly.

Two Installation Methods for Stage LED Displays

I. Hoisting Installation

1. The size of the LED rental screen should be determined according to that of a standard screen.

2. Hoisted screens should not be made too large. Generally, they are required to be below 6 m × 10 m. Exceptions include special cabinet materials and strip-curtain-type screens.

3. A hanging beam is provided at the top and a bottom beam at the bottom. The hanging beam is used for hoisting the screen.

4. Between rows of cabinets, hoisting mechanisms are used for connection; between horizontal cabinets, locking buckles are installed and tightened.

5. Hoisting mechanisms include gear-type, taper-pin-type, and bolt-type.

6. The gear-type is relatively expensive and aesthetically pleasing.

7. The taper-pin-type is moderately priced and reliable.

8. The bolt-type is the cheapest and reliable, but assembly is relatively troublesome; it is suitable for situations where repeated disassembly and assembly are not required.

II. Truss Installation

1. The screen body can be moved in real time according to actual needs.

2. The screen body can be moved in a split or combined manner according to the displayed image and on-site conditions.

3. A truss guide-rail design is adopted.

Because rental LED display products need to be frequently loaded and unloaded and repeatedly used according to the place of use and stage scene requirements, high requirements are placed on product portability, product durability, and the professionalism of installation personnel. In addition, rental screens inevitably go through transportation, so they must also have high shock resistance.

Key Points to Note When Installing Stage LED Displays

1. Preliminary site survey is important. When installing an LED screen for stage rental, the preliminary site survey is one of the most important things. The installation plan should also be made according to the on-site construction conditions and the screen body. Reasonably combining the installation site with the screen body is the first step in the LED display installation process.

2. Steel frame planning. Generally, within about 3 to 5 days after the contract is signed, the engineer will design the steel frame structure according to the on-site conditions and the actual conditions of the LED display and deliver it to the installation party. Only then can the installation party obtain the steel frame structure drawing (CAD drawing). All construction, procurement of related materials, and steel structure fabrication should be carried out according to the drawings and plans provided.

3. Calculation of screen power and power distribution equipment. During installation, the power consumption of the screen and the number of power distribution cabinets required must be planned in advance. Before the LED display is produced, the manufacturer will calculate the actual power consumption according to the actual conditions of the screen and provide it to the construction party for coordination.

4. LED display body installation. Customers usually understand steel frame construction, but they generally do not know much about the wiring and splicing of LED displays. Therefore, this work must be carried out under the guidance of professional LED engineers. The customer's LED screen operators should also participate so that they can better understand the screen body.

5. Screen debugging. After installation is completed, the LED manufacturer's technical personnel should be required to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the LED screen before it can be powered on normally and connected to a computer for screen control.

6. LED screen repair. During debugging, an LED module may occasionally be damaged. In this case, engineers are required to carry out on-site repair or replace it with a spare part.

7. Technical training on LED displays. During screen production, the customer can send personnel to the LED display manufacturer to learn LED display operation and simple spare-part replacement skills.
